South Tyrol – a region welcomes contemporary art. The region of the art fair KunStart is renowned for its artistic flair. It hosted the last edition of the European biennal of contemporary art, Manifesta 7, and offers more space to contemporary art in its many prestigious museums and exhibitions, such as the Museion in Bolzano, the Mart in Rovereto, the Galleria Civica in Trento and the Kunst Merano Arte in Merano. In this lively and versatile environment, new generations of art collectors emerge.
Focusing on the developments in the international art market, KunStart is based on an open vision, and pays special attention to the many influences that contemporary art has on fields such as design, communications and industrial production. We aim at consolidating the presence of art in everyday life, and try to deepen the relationship between the population and the artists in order to create new connections between art, architecture and landscape.

Affordable Art Fair : 12 - 15 March

Take a stroll in the park as the Affordable Art Fair returns to Battersea with its Spring Collection from 12-15 March. The fair provides a relaxed and fun atmosphere in which original contemporary art can be enjoyed by all.

120 galleries exhibit thousands of paintings, sculpture, photography and original prints, priced between £50 and £3,000, and all the artists on show differ from the Autumn Collection.

DEVIANTART - the biggest online community for artists

DeviantArt is an international online community for artists. It was first launched on August 7, 2000 by Scott Jarkoff, Matthew Stephens and Angelo Sotira, amongst others. DeviantArt, Inc. is headquartered in Suite 788 at 7905 Hollywood Boulevard in tha Hollywood area of Los Angeles. As of August 2008^[update] the site consists of over 8 million members, over 62 million submissions, and receives around 80,000 submissions per day. The domain deviantart.com attracted at least 36 million visitors annually by 2008 according to a Compete.com study.

DeviantArt aims to provide a place for any artist to exhibit and discuss works. Works are organized in a comprehensive category structure, including photography, digital art, traditional art, literature, flash, filmmaking, and skins fo applications, among others, along with extensive downloadable resources such as tutorials and stock photography. "Fella," a small, robotic, cat character, is the official DeviantArt mascot.

VOLTA NY - New York - from Thursday, March 5th to Sunday, March 8th, 2009

In 2009 VOLTA NY will be organized as an invitational curated show by the directorial team of art critic/curators Amanda Coulson (Executive Director) and Christian Viveros Fauné (Curatorial Advisor). By putting the focus back on artists through exclusively featuring solo projects, VOLTA NY promotes a deep exploration of the work of its selected artists and galleries, an opportunity for discoveries that move beyond those afforded by a traditional art fair.

This year's show, entitled Age of Anxiety, will focus on areas currently underexposed by the art world (Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Latin America), while also identifying trends that point towards newly critical aspects of emerging art. The show’s title—taken from W.H. Auden’s 1948 poem of the same name—suggests reexamination as well as novel imaginative departures that herald new beginnings.

VOLTA NY is located at 7W 34th Street, directly across from Manhattan's classic icon, The Empire State Building.

The Armory Show – The International Fair of New Art, has been the world's leading art fair devoted exclusively to contemporary art since its introduction in 1999. The fair is the successor to the highly acclaimed Gramercy International Art Fairs that attracted thousands to their New York, Los Angeles and Miami shows between 1994 and 1998.

The Armory Show was first presented in February 1999 at the 69th Regiment Armory, the site of the now-legendary Armory Show of 1913 that introduced Modern art to America. The fair became part of the Merchandise Mart family in 2007.
